Merope Riddle lives in Dragon Valley, a medieval village abundant with the bizarre and fantastical yet filled with poverty and hand-to-mouth existences. Despite what you might think, the building in the image above is not the home of Merope Riddle. Hailing from a poor family, her new "house" is fairly simple but she seems to like the semi-outdoor living. She has a tent to sleep in during winter to avoid frostbite and sleeps in a sleeping bag during the summer. She has only the very basic amenities but it is fairly satisfactory living and she has almost 3,000 simoleons spare to go to uni! If she does go, she'll be the first Sim from the Valley to ever go to university!
This is Merope Riddle. She is a Dramatic, Perfectionist, Socially Awkward and Hopeless Romantic Bookworm. Her lifetime wish is to become a Science Specialist. She's just moved into a 64x64 lot in Dragon Valley as she wants to eventually end up with a Legacy house that can be passed down through generations of Riddle's to come. She has 6,000 simoleons to spend on furniture etc but she also wants to go to uni... she'll need to live like everyone else in Dragon Valley; with hardly any money but with high aspirations!
Merope stumbles apon a mysterious egg her first day in Dragon Valley.. She's intrigued as to what it could possibly be! She has the option to talk to the egg about Love, Friendship, Enmity, Fire or Death. She decides to talk to the egg about Love, seeing as how she's a hopeless romantic!
After talking to it, she can't interact with the egg again, so she decides to practise the violin whilst waiting to see if it will hatch. A strange portal mysteriously spawns onto Merope's front drive.. She wants to investigate it, but decides that it's probably best to wait until she's got a degree in Science before investigating something that clearly can only be described by a scientist! Still, Merope can't help but think about the strange portal and what it could possibly represent..
Merope waited ages for the egg to hatch, but no luck so far and still no more interactions. She decided to introduce herself to her neighbour, Milligan. At first the socialisation seemed to be going well and made Merope wonder whether Milligan could possibly be boyfriend material. Unfortunately, after Milligan had brightened her day, Merope's social awkwardness kicked in and he asked her to leave. Merope wasn't quite sure where she'd gone wrong!
As she was leaving Milligan's, Merope got a notification that the egg was hatching! She got back just in time to see a newborn baby dragon hatch from the egg. She decided to name him Banzai, after her favourite club in Bridgeport. Baby dragons are born hungry, so she feeds him some raw meat. He's a green dragon which means he's very friendly and he has some unique abilities due to his colour and the fact Merope spoke to him as an egg about Love. He can garden and hunt for treasure! She decides to wait until Banzai is settled in before asking him to garden or hunt for treasure and plays with him instead. Merope likes that even though he's only a few hours old, she can talk to him about anything already.
The university mascot arrives as she's playing with Banzai. Merope would have been excited to see him, but it was a hot summer's day and she's been playing with a fire-breathing dragon!
